Registered Therapeutic Counsellor (RTC)
Trauma-Sensitive Yoga Therapist
Hello, I’m Bobbie-Raechelle. I am a Registered Therapeutic Counsellor offering online counselling to adults across British Columbia. I work with individuals navigating trauma, attachment wounds, identity exploration, relational challenges, and the complexities of being human in a world shaped by power, systems, and lived experience.
My work is grounded in Internal Family Systems therapy, trauma-informed care, and feminist therapeutic principles. I approach counselling as a collaborative and relational process that honours your agency, your inner wisdom, and the protective strategies that have helped you survive and adapt. Therapy with me is not about fixing you, but about creating the conditions for deeper understanding, self-leadership, and compassionate connection with all parts of yourself.
I believe healing happens through safety, curiosity, and relationship. In our work together, we move at a pace that respects your nervous system and your lived experience. I offer a space that is invitational, non-judgmental, and attuned, where all parts of you are welcome.
My approach is informed by Internal Family Systems therapy, somatic and body-based awareness, attachment-focused work, and feminist therapy. Together, these lenses allow us to explore how trauma lives in both the body and the psyche, while also acknowledging the broader social, cultural, and systemic contexts that shape mental health. I prioritize consent, collaboration, and choice, supporting you to reconnect with your internal resources and develop greater capacity for regulation, clarity, and self-trust.
My work is grounded in both academic study and extensive clinical experience. I hold a Bachelor of Psychology with Great Distinction, placing in the top ten percent of my graduating class. I completed my Professional Counselling Diploma at Rhodes Wellness College in 2021 and am currently pursuing a Master’s in Counselling Psychology at City University, with a projected graduation in 2027.
I have completed Level 2 training in Internal Family Systems through the IFS Institute and currently support the broader IFS community by assisting with IFS Institute trainings. This ongoing involvement allows me to remain deeply engaged with the model and its evolving clinical applications. IFS informs my work by centring self-leadership, compassion, and respect for the adaptive roles our parts develop in response to trauma and attachment experiences.
My clinical training also includes a Narrative Therapy Certificate from the Vancouver Narrative Therapy School and completion of the Trauma and Attachment Healing Modality through the Attachment and Trauma Treatment Centre for Healing, both completed in 2021. These approaches support collaborative meaning-making, non-pathologizing understandings of distress, and attachment-focused healing.
Alongside my counselling work, I bring a strong somatic and embodiment-based perspective. I am a Registered Yoga Teacher with 500 hours of training and a Yoga Therapist in training. I have created and facilitated trauma-sensitive yoga programs at McEwan Psychiatric Hospital and Songi’de’iwan Alternative School in Winnipeg, Manitoba. I am deeply passionate about creating spaces where the benefits of yoga therapy are accessible and inclusive. The classes and therapeutic movement spaces I facilitate support people in reclaiming their bodies, befriending their bodies, and learning tools to use the body as a resource rather than a site of disconnection.
From 2018 to 2020, I also volunteered as a Yoga Therapist at InspireHealth Cancer Support Centre in both Victoria and Vancouver, British Columbia, supporting individuals navigating illness, grief, and healing through compassionate, trauma-sensitive movement practices. I was drawn to trauma-focused work through my capacity to empathize, attune, and hold space. I have a lot of space for you.
My clinical experience spans both community-based non-profit settings and private practice. Alongside my work in the non-profit sector, I have been running my private practice, Breathe and Reach Wellness, since 2021, offering online counselling to adults across British Columbia.
I currently hold over 5,000 hours of direct client contact, meaning I have supported individuals through more than 5,000 one-to-one counselling sessions. This depth of experience informs my ability to work with nuance, attunement, and flexibility, adapting therapy to meet the unique needs and pacing of each client.
A significant chapter of my professional journey involved co-creating a counselling program in Vancouver’s Downtown Eastside at the Vancouver Women’s Health Collective. I served as Counselling Program Manager and Trauma Counsellor, while also mentoring and supervising volunteers and practicum students. This work was rooted in intersectional feminist values, low-barrier access, and community-centred care, and continues to shape how I understand power, systems, and healing within therapeutic relationships.
Across settings, my work centres adults seeking to understand their trauma responses, strengthen their relationships with themselves and others, and move toward greater regulation, meaning, and connection. I strive to create a therapeutic space that is collaborative, non-pathologizing, and deeply respectful of your lived experience.
I am committed to offering counselling that honours complexity, embodiment, and resilience. I’m here to hold space for you to turn your greatest wounds into your greatest gifts with curiosity, compassion, and courage. Healing isn’t linear, but you already bring the capacity for deep connection and growth within you. Together, we work toward transforming patterns that no longer serve you and cultivating a deeper sense of connection, choice, and self-leadership.
I look forward to sharing space with you.
